The Wasted Labour Day

Sup dude

So, I didn't hand in my commonwealth essay...I could not think of anything to write. Especially since my friend told me it was out of point -.- Maybe I'll edit the story a little bit here and there and submit it for Torrance, which is due in July. I was really busy in April with my exams and competitions, so I couldn't find time to write the story. That was probably the most interesting thing that happened to me today .__.

I woke up kind of late today because I spent half the night yesterday reading a very addictive book. I stayed up until 3am! The book was sci-fi, which is one of favourite book genres. It's no reason that I LOVE The Hunger Games trilogy, Ender's Game series and Gone series. All of these fall under the category of sci-fi. The book is called Prized and it is set in a dystopian society, which I also like :D

The book cover looks cool right? It is actually the 2nd book in a trilogy. I already read the first book, Birthmarked, earlier this year. The 3rd book is coming out later this year~~ I can't wait for it! The author of this trilogy is Caragh M. O'Brien and the first book was her debut novel! I really liked the way she let the story unfold and how she worked out the relationships between all the characters. 

It sort of reminds of another sci-fi book read also earlier this year which is also about a dystopian society. The book is called Enclave  by Ann Aguirre. Awesome book too~~ LOL. I just realised that in these two books, the protagonists are both female ^.^ Enclave is also a bit like The Hunger Games. In the sense that the protagonists of both books know how to fight well and are torn between two guys -.- The second book to  Enclave will be coming out later this year too and it's called  Outpost. 

Anyways, I spent the rest of the day alternating between surfing the Net and reading Prized. I managed to finish the book and I seriously can't wait for the 3rd one!! Hope it comes out soon...the only other interesting thing about today was the food -.- My cousin bought McDonalds' in the afternoon. Before that, my mum made me a burger for breakfast. I spent the entire day eating burgers :D

Oh god, I feel hungry again...

Wow, so many of many pictures are of food -.- I really have no life... It was raining today anyway so I couldn't go out :( But there was a really cool sunset today! Hmm, can't really call it a sunset because I never saw the sun set -.- But the sky outside my house today was tinged orange, which made everything appear orange. And I, being the typical Singaporean, took loads of pictures of it :D Enjoy!

So pretty right? Actually I couldn't really see the orangey-ness until I changed the camera setting to 'Sunset'. Wow, never realised that a camera can have such a setting o.O Am I out of touch or what? 4 minutes to midnight...and I have school tomorrow...so I better go sleep~
