Should Be Studying...

hello world~

Ugh....I don't feel like going to school tomorrow at all T.T After such a long weekend break, who would want to go back?! And I am also supposed to be studying right now... Whatever, I'll study later.

Since it's still early in the day, I shall talk about what I did yesterday. I had my mother tongue in the morning which you don't need to know about. It was boring as hell -endofstory- It was what happened after I came back home from mother tongue which is much more exciting :D

I went to watch BRAVE!!!! That animated movie I have been looking forward to watching since I saw the trailer in May. The lead character is so cute! Her hair is long and curly-wurly. The tickets cost $11.50 because that was the weekend rate. But I also think it cost more because it was a new movie. It just came out on the 8th!

I went to watch the movie with my friend. Actually, she was the one who suggested that I watch the movie with her. I never realised Brave would be showing so fast! That movie really is enjoyable and funny to watch. It has all the funny moments at all the right times. Haha, not going to give any spoilers at all, lawl. The ending was nice too :)

The movie ended around 6pm. My friend and I was also going to our school's Choir Concert. However, it started at 7.30pm. So, we had an hour and a half to kill. Ugh, I was fasting yesterday too TT.TT so, I couldn't really eat anything. We wandered around the shopping mall for a while before we decided to sit in Coffee Bean. We were waiting for our other friend who was coming at 6.45pm.

The rich aroma of coffee surrounding the shop seriously made me want to drink a cup of coffee. And they were selling pastries too! I felt so tempted.... TT.TT

Anyway, after our friend came, she went to buy a muffin. A freaking blueberry muffin *mouth waters* Actually, she was fasting too and she bought that muffin so that she can eat it later when the time to break fast comes. We left Coffee Bean after because the muffin-buying friend wanted to buy bubble tea from Gongcha.

The queue at Gongcha was very looongg. And Gongcha queues can really take a long time. Since my other friend hadn't eaten dinner yet, She went to buy dinner from Subway and I followed her. Oh god....the smell of Subway... *mouth floods* You know, most people'd order 6-inch, but I also order foot-long. Does that make me weird? Never mind, the more the better :D

Since it was nearly 7pm by the time we finished buying food (I bought McDonalds), We decided to walk to the venue of the Choir Concert. We got there in ten minutes -.- I wanted to go in to the hall only after breaking fast, (which was at 7.16pm). But my friends wanted to go so that they could get good seats. So we went in and found seats. LAWL, we did the very aunty thing and placed the bags on the seat and went out to drink. Oh god, you don't know how heavenly the coke felt on my tongue T.T

The Choir Concert was freaking awesome! They didn't use any background music at all! All of the songs were sung using their voices, even the background music was created using their voices. They performed songs like We Are Young, Payphone, Paradise, Edge of Glory etc. The sec 3 choir batch even sang MAMA by EXO-K! It was seriously cool. My friend was in that batch, and she BEATBOXED when they performed MAMA. I never realised she can beatboxed!! *in awe*

After the intermission, they had a beatboxing showcase which was super cool and interesting. They really sounded like dubstep! *very in awe* Ugh, it's that kind of feeling that you got to be there to experience it. Why didn't I video the thing!!! It was seriously very very awesomee.

Anyways, so that's basically what happened yesterday. I need to go back to studying now~~

Coming Soon!

Hello guys!

I don't know why I feel so excited that National Day is coming soon. Maybe it's because, every year, our school put up a really great performance on that day :) During the National Day Celebration in school, we also have a fashion parade put on by the Sec 4s! So cute, right?

And it is also one of the events that most of the school population bother to dress up. On other days the school allow us to wear our home clothes, the turn-out rate isn't always that good. However, every year, without fail, nearly the entire school population will dress in the colours of Singapore flag: red and white. Haha, there must be a hidden sense of patriotism in everyone :))

Whooo, national pride :) Anyway, as you all know, the Olympics have started a loong looong time ago. I haven't really been following the Olympics because I don't watch much tv. And my dad is always hogging the tv -.- However, There's Olympics news everywhere, so I am not totally out of the loop. As usual, China has been winning nearly everything. And so has the US. It is always these two countries that get that most medals from the Olympics every year. Seriously, what do they do to their athletes?! Train them from the time they were just conceived?!

The China people are really very amazing. From the few times I caught the Olympics on TV, the people representing China look so strong and elegant in whatever sport they were presenting. It really shows the time and effort they put into for the sport. Ugh, Singapore can never do that. It is always trying to juggle academics with sports. Even Singapore Sports School students are required to study a bit. As for China, if you have aptitude in one area, you excel enormously in that area. There's no in-between. Why do you think China has all the big big brains? :D

Speaking of the Olympics, I feel proud that Singapore has finally won a medal! Feng Tian Wei won the Bronze medal in Table-Tennis Women Singles. Yeah! I heard that this was Singapore's first medal in 52 years since the weightlifter, Tan Howe Liang, won a silver medal in the 1960 Olympics. Ahh~ Singapore pride~~

Okay, I know there's been alot of backlash about Feng Tian Wei not being a 'true-blue Singaporean' and all, and so the medal does not count. Honestly, when I heard the complaints from such people, I felt that my vein was about to burst. Hey! She put in alot of effort to get where she is today and she is willing to play for us. At least be happy for that! What is this rubbish about 'imported foreign talent'? Tan Howe Liang was also a native China man who migrated to Singapore, so does his medal not count too?

Look at it this way, Singapore is a country based on meritocracy. Feng Tian Wei put in alot of effort and blood, sweat and tears into her sport. So according to Singapore's meritocracy, doesn't she deserve the medal? What's all the BS about her not being a 'true-blue Singaporean'? You work as hard as her and get a medal, and then you talk (Sorry, a bit of Singapore slang there). Seriously, Singaporeans are really complaining too much.

Alright, all that talking has given me a headache. I started off this post being so happy! Anyway, I can't wait for the Choir Concert this Saturday! My friend has already given me the ticket. So, I feel happier that I now have a seat to the awesome show :)

Okay, need to get back to homework~~Bye :D

August :D

hello guys!

It's the 1st of August. And on this very special day, I have decided to take action on my stagnant life and bring colour and vibrancy to it :) LOLOL. I just came up with an epic sentence XD I have quite a few things planned for August and I thought I should write it down so that I don't forget it. Seriously, National Day is next week! That's already one thing to look forward to :) No matter how much people are bashing the government, I have been living in Singapore for quite a while and I can't help feeling a sense of patriotism every time National Day comes around...

Moving on, that's already one event down. My school will obviously celebrate National Day on the 8th as 9th of August is National Day and it is a public holiday for everyone :) Other families would always go for the Nationa; Day Parade. But my family always watches it from the TV because we are too lazy to go. Anyways, the P5s are always invited to watch the Full Dress Rehearsal every year and obviously I got to watch the FDR when I was P5 wayy back in 2008. Oh gosh, that seems like such a long time ago...

The next event is my mother's birthday! And it is right after National Day on the 10th :) My mother has done so much for me that I must give her a present this year. I am going to make potato salad for her! Okay, that isn't much of present but my mother is always trying to eat salads in a bid to get skinnier. So a salad is just right for her. Furthermore, I won't be needing to turn on the cooker at all. Once I turn on the cooker, the kitchen becomes a disaster zone -.- Sighz, hoping that the salad will be nice enough for her... Maybe I should clean the house too!

The day after my mother's birthday is a Saturday. And on that day, I'll be...wait for it....going for a school concert! YEAH! Alright, going to a school concert is not as boomz as going for Big Bang's concert (WHY! WHY DID THE TICKETS HAVE TO SELL OUT SO FAST T.T), however, I think this concert will be well worth it. When they announced about their concert on Monday, they gave a really cool performance of their beatboxing. They beatboxed like I never heard before. It was so interesting that I wanted to go right away! Even my friend was excited, so both of us just bought two tickets from our friend who's in charge of selling the tickets. I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT~~ KYAHHH

Later this month, I'll be going for another school concert. My CCA-mate's YFC group organised the concert. Obviously, she being my CCA-mate, I'll go for it. I am just hoping that my mother will let me go for it :( OKAY. I must persuade with my awesome persuasion skills ;) They are having my school's gym team and International Dance team performing in it, including a few famous Singaporean Youtube stars. I am definitely going to see how the concert turns out :D

Alright, so that's about what I have planned for August. Of course, on the 18th, it's Hari Raya Puasa! I can't wait to finally stop fasting and start feasting ^.^ And get all my money :) I should get back to studying now. Bye guys~~ I am going to seize August and make the most out of it before September comes and then, I need to start revising for exams in October.

Goodnight :))
